Chart notes
DELTA WIND jumped out to the early lead, set the pace well off the rail then dueled with SO VERY SMART, cleared that rival near the five-sixteenths, drew off under hand urging then put to the right-handed crop with a sixteenth remaining and coasted in through the closing moments. SO VERY SMART broke in, chased between foes then went up to force the pace from inside, dueled into the turn, lost contact midway around the bend, saved ground into the stretch and bested the rest. KITTEN'S KID forwardly placed in the early stages outside a trio of rivals, chased three wide into the turn, remained off the rail exiting the bend, flattened in the final furlong and saved the show. NAN ELIZABETH stumbled badly at the start, chased between foes then two wide around the turn, kept on for a minor award but never threatened. PIAZZETTA chased widest early, navigated the turn four then three wide and failed to rally. SHANGHAI DAZZLER was off slow to begin, steadied off heels briefly soon after, went three wide through the turn and was not a factor. BEAUTIFUL WORLD broke inward at the start, tracked along the inside and had little left for the stretch.
