VIRGINIA BEACH tracked the pacesetter through early stages, launched a two wide turning for home, roused forward to match strides with TEA IN CHINA past the furlong marker then edged away under firm pressure. TEA IN CHINA vied in opening stages then shook free and held firm around the turn, fought back when challenged by VIRGINIA BEACH in the stretch run but could not move on with rival in late stages. NOT MY MONEY gave chase around the turn, sustained a steady three wide bid through the lane and cleared show. ASSUME vied for the lead in opening stages then remained forwardly placed around the turn, saved ground entering the lane then gave way. KELLY GREEN lacked early speed, hustled along four wide into the lane and lacked a needed rally. GOLDEN GLOW sat off the early speed, went two wide into the upper stretch and had no late response. RSHEPHERDSGAIT saved ground around the turn then retreated in the lane.
