Chart notes
PATRIOT DRIVE allowed to settle, gained position two and three wide through the second turn, bid four wide into the stretch, lugged in slightly, was bumped, then drove clear while drifting in further. CHIC N WILBUR stalked the pace on the inside, angled out to gain position on the two path through the second turn, bid on that path, then drifted out, bumped a rival, straightened and lacked the needed late kick. GREAT mid pack, gained position on the two path through the second turn, bid three wide into the lane, then was bumped and pushed into a rival while steadying, then could not gain. COOPER'S CRESCENT set the pace on the outside, shook clear down the backstretch, stayed on when challenged into the stretch, then weakened the final furlong. JEN'S SONG was never involved. COLONEL TALBOT well placed and outside, faded through the second turn. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY AND A CLAIM OF FOUL LODGED BY THE RIDER OF GREAT AGAINST THE RIDER OF CHIC N WILBUR WAS ALLOWED FOR INTERFERIENCE IN THE STRETCH
