Chart notes
MIRROR IMAGE was reserved just off the leaders early, moved four-wide through the turn, reached the leaders with a sixteenth to run, vied and was up in final yards. BALTIMORE BEECHO stalked the leaders while racing three-wide, moved up to offer a bid nearing the sixteenth pole, vied and just missed. MISTER MCLEAN sprinted clear at once, saved ground while setting the pace, responded when challenged nearing the sixteenth pole, vied and gave way grudgingly. LICORICE DROP POPS showed no early speed, raced five-wide through the turn and finished evenly late. GRINDER SPARKSAGLO settled off the leaders from the inside throughout and failed to rally. BUCKLEY BAY hopped at the start, rushed to contend weakened after going a half and was eased late.
