Chart notes
WILLIE THE WHALE gave chase, raced in the three path on the turn then dug in from the eighth pole to get up the final yards. KICKIN' KIRBY gave chase, raced in the five path of the turn and dueled through the stretch for second while outfinished for the win. TRUTH SERUM chased, raced off the rail on the turn, angled out into the lane and finished well while gaining on the top two. GUNTER took the lead nearing the three eighths pole and set a pressured pace, dueled clear past the quarter, dug in under steady encouragement into the stretch, but was caught in the final yards. GRANDPA MUNSTER pressured the pace inside, dropped back past the quarter pole, rounded the turn near the rail and ran evenly in the lane. TIZ AUCTION TIME chased through the backstretch and saved ground on the turn, then flattened later yards. RIOJA PALACE gave chase outside, rounded the turn about the five path and ran widest through the lane. Per Stewards Ruling #69, Willie The Whale has been disqualified from earnings.
