Chart notes
MR. THUNDERSTRUCK stalked the pace, gained the lead on the turn, forged clear into the stretch and held on well under steady pressure. BUBBA'S QUEST raced forwardly along the inside, advanced on the turn and stayed on in the stretch. WHEREVER HE IS outpaced early, commenced a bid on the turn and finished well in the stretch. CHICAGO CHROME led early, was headed on the tur and proved no factor in the stretch. BUZZER fractious in the preliminaries, was sluggish at the start and showed some late energy. PRINCE OTTO never menaced. HANDSOME HUNTER was always outrun.
