ROAMING UNION broke sharply and went straight to the front, showed the way through solid fractions while inside to the two path, extended the advantage late on the far turn, responded well when asked coming to the quarter-pole and drew off under a strong hand ride and one tap of a down-turned crop to prove much the best. GRUMPS LITTLE TOTS jostled with a rival at the start, went three wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, was urged along while inside early on the far turn, angled four wide outside the five-sixteenths, turned into upper stretch under a strong drive and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. LEGIT leaned out and brushed the gate at the start then was hustled, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled off the pace, was urged along passing the nine-sixteenths, was fanned out six wide near the five-sixteenths, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. ASHAAR was hustled from the start, went around the first turn in the three path, tracked the pace on the outside, chased two then three wide on the far turn, dropped back under the crop into the stretch, remained on his inside lead while tiring in the drive and capitulated. SUPREME AURA jostled with a rival at the start then was asked, saved ground around the opening bend, settled comfortably in third position, was asked with a half-mile to run, went three wide early on the far turn then was carried five wide near the five-sixteenths, dropped back to the three path outside the quarter-pole and failed to respond. ACKER was last to depart the gate then urged along early, saved ground on the initial turn, came out entering the backstretch, settled at the rear, was urged in the two path early on the far turn then lugged out four wide at the three-eighths, bore out eight wide in the vicinity of the five-sixteenths and also failed to respond. HEAVY ROLLER went four wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, was ridden along passing the half-mile pole, dropped back while four then three wide on the final turn and faltered.
