Chart notes
BIG COUPE had early speed and vied for the lead from inside first time through the stretch, set the pace up the backstretch with company alongside, cleared with a quarter mile remaining, drew away in upper stretch and padded the lead late. HAIL FREEDOM vied three deep first time through the stretch, lost a bit of ground on the clubhouse turn, remained forwardly placed from outside, driven three wide into the lane and held the place. REALLY BIG NEWS got bumped at the start stalked in the two path then moved inside, traveled a bit off the rail into the lane, waited for room behind rivals at the top of the stretch, gained an opening and split foes in upper stretch and rallied for the show. EAGLE IN THE SKY went four then three wide around the first turn, remained off the rail and came four wide into the stretch, chased five wide in upper stretch and lacked a late bid. JUST ABOUT ENOUGH settled off the pace near the inside, swung six wide into the drive and summoned a mild rally. TALKLESSWORKMORE got bumped from both sides at the start, raced five wide leaving the chute, went three then two wide around the first turn, lacked room on the second bend, traveled four wide in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. AUSPICIOUS STYLE got bumped leaving the gate, stalked on the inside, cut the corner into the stretch and weakened. SMOOTHWATER LINDA off slow to begin, traveled along the inside the moved out into the two path on the clubhouse turn, went between rivals the three-eighths, angled five wide leaving the turn and lacked further response. FUNKENSTEIN got bumped from outside at the start, was crowded and checked leaving the chute, trailed in the early stages, raced a bit off the rail into the drive and improved position. HOT SPOT vied for the lead between foes then pressed from outside, chased the leader past the quarter pole and gave way. CLUB MESQUITE shifted in and bumped rival at the start, raced five wide first time through the stretch, four to three wide around the clubhouse turn, traveled four deep on the final bend, five wide into the stretch and failed to menace. ASSURANCE sandwiched between rivals at the start, pulled early, trailed into the stretch and had little left for the drive.
