Chart notes
YES I AM FREE vied two wide between rivals around the turn, took control over the lead at the eighth pole, dug in gamely under firm pressure and held on in final strides. MILES AHEAD raced off the early speed, went wide into the lane, gathered sharp momentum under pressure, rallied strongly along the far outside and just missed. MAN OF HONOR raced off the top flight around the turn, swung six wide into the lane and steadily edged up closer to the wire. DOUBLE CROWN vied four deep for the lead around the turn, battled back in the upper stretch, could not maintain equal terms at the eighth pole but remained up close then lacked a closing kick. ROMARIO was unhurried through early stages, hustled up five wide into the lane and had a mild improve. INTER MIAMI vied three wide in the opening quarter, remained up close around the turn then gave way in the lane. MALRAUX vied inside of rival through the backstretch, battled into the upper stretch then came up tired in the final furlong. BREAKTHROUGH chased the top flight in the opening quarter then steadily retreated. HE'S ROYALTY saved ground around the turn and failed to move into contention.
