Chart notes
FIRINGTOTHEFRONT raced within striking distance, moved up three wide around the turn, drove clear down the lane and won under steady urging. BROADWAY FIRE broke a step slow, rushed up, made a late bid, racing five wide and was a clear second at the wire. MISS JAMIE brushed at the start, vied for the lead, forwardly placed throughout, proved no match for the top two, but held on for third. CONDESA'S HANDMAID brushed at the break, dueled for the early advantage, finished wide and was outfinished for third. NEW YEAR'S PARTY brushed at the start, raced near the back and was never a factor. GOLDEN SMILES always raced near the back and showed little. TEXAS RED BEL raced within contention, saved ground around the turn and faded. RACE WAS HAND TIMED
