SCREWBALL prompted to gain a contending position while caught four wide in the opening stages, shifted inwards to track off the leaders outside a rival racing into the backstretch, tipped out three wide nearing upper stretch while being prompted to advance and wrested the advantage in the closing stages under firm handling. ANGEL'S MAGIC was urged to the lead in the three path racing to the first turn, dictated terms on a narrow advantage off the rail racing to the backstretch, dueled for command outside a rival nearing upper stretch, continued to contest the issue between foes while weaving about under pressure leaving midstretch and prevailed for the place honors late. RED WAVE angled to the rail racing to the first turn while moving to terms with the pacesetter prompting that foe, dueled for command inside that foe on the far turn into upper stretch while gaining a narrow advantage but weakened late. YO DAWG angled inwards tracking just off the leaders near the inside racing to the backstretch, tipped out in upper stretch, was urged to advance between foes racing through the stretch, then altered course repeatedly when losing his path to ANGEL'S MAGIC late. THIRSTY KISS, forced in by DA GHOST at the start, was settled along the inside racing to the backstretch, angled out four wide entering the lane and displayed some late interest to close the gap on the leaders late. KING OF THE KIDS tracked off the second flight outside foes racing to the far turn, worked his way to the inside racing into the lane but offered no closing bid. HONEY'S SUPERMAN tracked off the second flight inside foes to the backstretch but faded from contention early. DA GHOST veered inwards at the break impeding THIRSTY KISS, was collected while settling into stride and never menaced thereafter. DARK LEOPARD tracked off the second flight between foes racing to the backstretch but dropped out early. FOLLOWING THE RACE THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN AND DISQUALIFIED ANGEL'S MAGIC FOR INTERFERENCE, PLACING HIM FOURTH.
