Chart notes
DIALING DIXIE disputed the pace outside SOUPER EMPEROR, asserted himself in mid stretch and drew clear under urging. SOUPER EMPEROR hugged the inner rail, disputed the pace with the winner and finished gamely. CHARM CITY BAND bore out at the break, chased the pace three wide around the far turn and weakened in the drive. SPEIGHTSTER RED bore in leaving the starting gate, stalked the pace down the backstretch, angled four wide turning for home and failed to rally. MONSTER MASON stumbled when pinched back soon after the break then was not a factor. STROLLED ON BY was outrun after being pinched back at the start.
