Chart notes
MANAROLA gave chase through the backstretch, raced off the rail on the turn then dug in from the head of the lane to take over later yards. UNCANNY took the lead at the seven sixteenths pole and raced clear toward the three eighths, came under pressure midway on the turn, dug in leaving the turn but was caught flattening stride later yards. MADERA came away slowly then picked up the chase inside, angled to the four path toward the head of the stretch and finished well while gaining on the waning runner-up. STYLISH PAINT chased, rounded the turn about the three path, angled widest into the stretch and passed rivals outside. SCARLET TANAGER gave chase outside, ran in the four path of the turn then weakened. GANDHI'S CASTLE let the opening furlong, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole then faded at the rail on the turn.
