Chart notes
BOLD ENVOY held a short lead outside rivals early, edged away after six furlongs in the two-path, and widened through the stretch under pressure. GUACO was unsettled at the break and slowest away, advanced around the turn three wide, had aim outside BOLD ENVOY into the stretch but settled for second best. NIMBLE BEAST raced two to three wide around the turn, finished one-paced outside and was along for the show. PROSPECT PROJECT pressed the pace between horses into the turn, shifted inward near the three-eighths pole, and faded through the stretch along the rail. EXCALIBUR stayed in range for a half-mile, checked behind PROSPECT PROJECT going by the three-eighths pole, and tired. POWER (BRZ) was a step slow at the start, and failed to menace four wide. FITZ'S MO pressed the early pace, took up sharply behind PROSPECT PROJECT midway on the turn losing all momentum, and jogged in. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY FOCUSING ON THE INCIDENT MIDWAY ON THE TURN BEFORE THE RESULT WAS MADE OFFICIAL.
