Chart notes
DOWAGIAC CHIEF vied for the early lead racing inside of LEEVEE PROUD, matched strides around the turn then shook clear at the head of the lane, stayed sharp on top under steady pressure and had enough in reserve to hold on late. LET MY PEOPLE GO tracked in close range through early stages, launched a rail bid in the upper stretch, stayed on with response then tipped on two wide and gained in final strides. ROAN FOR THE ROSE got bumped at the start and raced off the pace, remained unhurried around the turn then given cue in the upper stretch, responded willingly along the outside and was edging up closer approaching the wire. WICKED GENIUS raced two wide in the second flight around the turn, launched a three bid for command in the stretch run, raced up close at the eighth pole then yielded. IBERVILLE raced in range late on the turn, hustled up at the quarter pole, raced in range near mid-stretch then gave way. LEMONADEATTHELATCH rated outside under slight restraint, given given in the upper stretch and failed to kick on. LEVEE PROUD shifted to the outside after the start, vied for the lead with the winner through early stages, battled on around the turn then faded in the lane. CORRENTE DE OURO got bumped at the start, trailed through early stages then passed tiring rivals in the lane. REQUISITION saved ground then tipped out four wide and failed to move on. POUR ME A DOUBLE raced two wide late on the turn and had no response when called upon. FIRST GLIMPSE raced off the second flight around the turn then faded. FAITHFUL RULER saved ground and retreated.
