VICTORIOUS WAVE hopped out of the gate and bumped with DRAGON'S KEY, gained a short lead midway through the backstretch, set a pressured pace, shook clear into the stretch and held under a drive. MENTORING led early, was headed mid backstretch, pressed the pace, chased into the stretch, finished under a determined drive and just missed. SPANISH PRINCE steadied just out of the gate, settled off the pace, was hustled from the rail and two-wide on the turn then rallied gamely between foes. HICKSY broke awkwardly, settled in mid pack, was hustled four then three-wide on the turn, chased into the stretch and finished gamely. DROP A CARIBOU broke outward, stalked the pace, chased while two-wide and from the rail on the turn then finished gamely. DRAGON'S KEY broke outward and bumped VICTORIOUS WAVE, raced in mid pack, was steadied in tight quarters early on the turn, chased to the stretch and evened out. GOD OF LOVE broke inward, settled off the pace, was hustled two to four-wide through the turn then lacked a closing response.
