Chart notes
NUEVA YORK well placed along the three path, drifted in some at the five-sixteenths pole, angled out in the lane, challenged four across a furlong out and drove clear. FITZPATRICK broke sluggishly, saved ground, drifted out nearing the five-sixteenths pole, gained inside to challenge, battled and finished well. INVALUABLE WILL vied for the lead along the two path, battled from between a furlong out and weakened late. DOUBLE VISION ducked out at the start, vied for the lead along the three path, between a furlong out and weakened. PAPA TOM B well placed along the two path, began to gain leaving the three-eighths pole, appeared to have an opening between rivals nearing the five-sixteenths, was shut off by both rivals, took up and weakened. A claim of foul was lodged by the rider of PAPA TOM B against the winner and FITZPATRICK for interference nearing the five-sixteenths, was not allowed.
