Chart notes
NATIONAL HONOR stalked the early pace, moved up four wide at the three sixteenths pole, closed well late and got up in his final stride under all out pressure. DOVER CLIFFS was coaxed along to lay up close early, built a clear lead inside the eighth pole and was caught near the wire in a game effort. VOTING CONTROL stalked the early pace, raced three deep into the upper stretch and had no final winning bid. AFFLUENTIAL was allowed to settle early on, raced near the rail at the quarter pole, moved up three wide through the stretch run and made a mild late bid. JAG settled to the middle of the pack, waited for racing room near the three eighths pole from the inside, angled out four deep and had not in the drive. DASHING LOU dropped back early, raced five wide into the upper lane and had no response. GHOST HUNTER showed good early speed to set the early pace and gave way the final eighth of a mile. KIERLAND raced three to four wide through the stretch and never was a factor. DAY raced far back and never was involved.
