Chart notes
KALENJIN contested the pace through the backstretch and kept the edge in the three path of the turn, then dug in from the head of the lane to edge clear later yards. ROCKIN ANNA ROLLIN chased toward the inside, raced near the rail on the turn and remained a factor to mid-stretch before relenting. MERCHANT OF HOPE chased inside, raced at the rail on the turn then dueled for third inside the sixteenth pole. K K CAN pressured the early pace, rounded the turn off the rail then ceded third mid-stretch. DRIVE IN chased through the backstretch, angled to the five path on the turn and passed rivals in an even finish. SMOOKIE chased, raced off the rail on the turn and showed little further. LA DUQUESA pressured the early pace but dropped back at the five sixteenths pole and faded in the three path of the turn.
