Chart notes
FAMILY MAN pressed the pace two wide, vied around the far turn, assumed command passing the five sixteenths pole, drew off under driving pressure in upper stretch, and was kept busy under vigorous hand urging through the final furlong. NIETZSCHE stalked along the inside, shifted two wide to claim place at the quarter pole, and determinedly held that position from his entrymate through the lane while chasing the clear leader home. DOUBLE TOUGH TIGER tracked two wide, then from between horses around the far turn, shifted three wide entering the lane, battled for place outside of his stablemate through the lane, but was denied. ALLEN saved ground off of the pace, shifted four wide entering the lane, and stayed on for a minor share. BROTHER AARON set the pace along the inside, vied inside of the eventual winner into the far turn, but proved no match for that for at the five sixteenths pole, and gave way through the lane. COPPER KING saved ground off of the pace, but to no avail. JACK'S ADVANTAGE brushed an inner foe a the start, lied off of the pace in the three path around the turns, and never got involved. RISKY TOWN stalked three wide, but came under a drive at the half mile pole, and weakened around the far turn. HESABULLY was brushed by an outer foe at the start, got rank between horses early on before steadying into the first turn, and was outrun thereafter.
