Chart notes
A MAIZE ZING RIP didn't break sharply, moved between horses early, advanced three wide around the turn, reached the front in midstretch and was clear late. SARATOGA WILDCAT broke sharply for the early lead, regained command two wide before a half but couldn't stay with the winner. SOMERSET BAY broke slowly, lagged early, made a run in the three path into the stretch and finished gamely. WHO YOU SAY I AM moved to a short lead along the inside just before going a furlong, remained prominent to the stretch then tired. THESE BLUES stayed inside and failed to menace. KING OF AMERICAN was outrun.
