MY FRIEND LINUS steadied at the start, tracked off the pace inside, chased four wide on the far turn, rallied four wide in upper stretch, closed steadily outside and got up late for the win. LINDA'S NEKIA raced four wide early, stalked three wide, bid three wide on the far turn, dueled, led into the lane, shook clear, then dug in gamely inside to the finish. COMMANDER'S INTENT stumbled at the start and was still away on top, had a clear early lead, then vied two wide, dueled between rivals on the far turn, weakened and held for third. KION moved up on the rail on the clubhouse turn to contest the pace, vied inside for command, dueled on the far turn and weakened. ALWAYS FORGIVEN raced off the pace and failed to threaten. FORT ROYAL raced off the pace outside a rival and failed to rally.
