Chart notes
SUNRISE JOURNEY pressed the pace of GOLDEN COWBOY while racing three-wide, moved up to take command nearing the three-eighths marker, opened a clear margin and held off the closing FANTASTIC DAY to prevail. FANTASTIC DAY showed no early speed, raced three-wide through the second turn, angled out late and was gaining on the winner. FOREIGN PROTOCOL was carried out through the first turn, raced just off the leaders early, moved five-wide through the second turn and finished willingly. GOLDEN COWBOY was away in good order to set a pressured pace and gave way to the winner after going three furlongs. EL ALTO HOMBRE was forwardly placed early, raced in tight quarter through the final sixteenth, was steadied and did not threaten. TORCH was void of early speed, saved ground through the second turn and did not menace. THE METAL MAN was off a step slow, settled off the leaders early, moved three-wide through the second turn and weakened.
