Chart notes
PATRIOT DRIVE allowed to settle, saved ground through the turns, came through inside into the stretch, made a steady gain, edged ahead at the furlong marker, then drew off and was kept to the task. INDY LYON tracked the pace well back, gained position two and three wide through the second turn, bid three wide into the lane, then could not threaten the winner the final furlong and held the place safe. DRIFTWOOD sprinted to a long lead soon after the start, then weakened the final furlong and held the show. CADET CONNELLY mid pack, gained position three and four wide through the second turn, bid four wide into the stretch, lugged in slightly, then could not gain when straight. J BERESFORD TIPTON broke a step slowly from the gate and was no factor.
