V. I. P. WHO vied two wide for the lead, dueled with INDIAN BUZZ on the turn, gained a short lead, responded when roused, drew clear under urging in the final furlong and coasted late. INDIAN BUZZ set the pace on the inside, dueled with the winner on the far turn, dug in gamely inside in the stretch drive and came up second best. AWESOME LAUNCH raced off the rail, off the pace, chased two wide on the far turn, gained mildly and bested the others for third. SPEECHIN N TEACHIN tracked two wide, chased inside on the far turn and tired. JACOHARE tracked inside, lacked a response and faded. JUAN BOLY steadied at the start, raced four wide early, stalked three wide, chased three wide on the far turn, was tiring, then took a bad step at the eighth pole and was pulled up, vanned off.
