Chart notes
ASTRONOMICAL raced from the four path in the second flight, gained closer order after the quarter pole, bid steadily outside and won driving. SIR MIEZIE vied inside for the early lead, took pressure through the far turn inside of HERE COME BARNEY, edged away and was caught late. LANNY MAC trailed the field early and passed tiring rival late stretch. HERE COMES BARNEY contested the early pace, was unable to move on with rival and yielded. MARANGO tracked inside, dropped back leaving the backstretch and faded. EXHI KID broke outward, chased outside and tired early. JOCKEY OBJECTION- An objection lodged by the rider of MARANGO against the rider of ASTRONOMICAL alleging interference at the three eighths pole was not allowed after review of the Board of Stewards.
