Chart notes
CHARTER OAK settled off the rail, closed in up the backstretch, ranged up five wide leaving the turn and took over into the drive, cleared in upper stretch and inched away. LEN'S LUCK hesitated and came away slow then got bumped by LOOKOUT POINT, trailed in the early stages, moved closer up the backstretch, angled in around the far turn and bested the rest. RECAPTURED FREEDOM away quickly and vied three deep into the first turn turn, dropped back a bit to stalk the pace, raced two wide into the lane, between foes in upper stretch, kept on through the lane but needed to find more late. LOOKOUT POINT broke out and bumped rival at the start, tracked wideset in the middle stages, exited the far turn five wide and failed to rally. MESA EMPIRE vied between horses into the first turn, took control and set the pace outside GEMINI BAY, held a short lead through the second bend, lost command entering the stretch and gave way. AFTER THE CANDY stumbled leaving the gate, reserved in the early going, bid outside midway up the backstretch, chased the top pair four wide into the lane and weakened. GEMINI BAY vied for the from inside on the first turn, pressed MESA EMPIRE up the backstretch, dropped back into the far turn, tired in the lane and was eased to the wire.
