SHASTA STAR moved up early to contest the pace, dueled two wide, dueled with CAPTAIN SAM on the turn, gained a short lead in upper stretch, drew clear and was kept to the task. AULDWOOD LANE settled off the pace, advanced at the quarter pole, rallied in the two path and finished well inside in deep stretch. ATHWAAQ chased the pace, went four wide at the quarter pole and rallied mildly outside. CAPTAIN SAM dueled inside for the lead, dueled with the winner on the turn and weakened. CANARSIE ANGEL chased three wide, came three wide into the lane and tired. ODRAMARK chased outside and faded.
