BARBARIUS was slow into stride at the start, lagged in early stages then loomed up boldly at the quarter pole, was ridden along five wide into the lane, edged away under steady urging near the eighth pole then finished going away. A WHOLE LOTTA HULA bobbled at the start but still got away quickly, moved up to race in aim late on the backstretch, vied with WHYNOTGEORGIA around the turn then failed to move on with the winner past upper stretch and settled for second best. LONSDALEITE raced in range on the inside then tipped out wider turning for home, sustained a steady four wide bid through the lane and gained show. WHYNOTGEORGIA advanced late on the backstretch and took over a slim lead, vied around the turn then steadily weakened through the lane. VANORA sped to the lead at the start, got collared near the seven-sixteenths pole and steadily faded.
