SAMURAI ZIP allowed to settle, saved ground through the turn, came through inside, angled out quickly, shook clear, then lasted under steady pressure. SPICY SHOT broke a step slowly from the gate, saved ground through the turn, came through inside of rivals, angled out into the stretch, made a steady gain and missed. SUNSHINE CHARLIE well placed, moved up two and three wide through the turn, bid three wide into the lane, flattened out and gained the show. WATCH THE DIP stalked the pace on the inside, saved ground through the turn, came through inside and weakened the final furlong. CATHMOR set the pace off the rail, stayed on when challenged into the stretch, then faded the final furlong. POLLARD STAR was no factor.
