Chart notes
THE PENINSULA allowed to settle, moved up inside through the turn, angled three wide into the stretch, bid, then bumped a rival, straightened, made a steady gain and drove clear. YOUMUSTBEA WEASLEY well placed, held position on the two path through the turn, bid between rivals into the stretch, then evened out and held the place. ZOOMBIE well placed, saved ground through the turn, came through inside, was blocked, then split foes, angled in and edged up of the show. SONGTELLER stalked the pace on the outside, moved up to gain a short lead through the turn, then weakened the final furlong and held a share. LIGHTNING CHARLIE mid pack, moved up two and three wide through the turn, bid four wide into the stretch, was bumped by a rival, then weakened the final furlong. BOITANO passed tiring rivals. BALI BEACH set the early pace on the inside, stayed on when challenged through the turn, then faded the final furlong. THE REGION was never involved. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING OF THE RACE, RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
