Chart notes
SMART SPREE was allowed to settle, went six wide into the turn, was gaining late, took control in mid stretch and edged clear for the win. JIM EDD WHO stalked the early pace, raced along the inside into the turn, eased back through the turn, angled out five wide, was no match late and finished second best. WAR WOUNDS forced the early pace from between rivals and weakened in late stretch. COLORFUL COLORADO was void of early speed, advanced seven wide through the turn and flattened out. THIRSTY JUNIOR was taken back early, went eight wide through the turn and offered no rally. WILLY TELL HIM was reserved early, raced between rivals and never fired. HOT SURFING set a pressured early pace, raced off the rail and faded. AUSSIE YOU LATER was unhurried early and was no factor.
