Chart notes
MISSALPHA Set the pace along the rail, remained clear a furlong out and under the whip proved best. TOMMY THE TORCH Away best, tracked along the rail, two path into the turn, asked, gained and finished well. DR. LLOYD Broke slow, four wide on the turn, angled out in the stretch and then was being eased nearing the sixteenths pole. SMOOTH TALES Well placed early, three path into the turn, four wide out of it and then was eased over the wire while hopelessly beaten.
