BARBERINI raced seven wide into the first turn, then stalked close up four wide, bid three wide on the far turn, took charge nearing the quarter pole, came wide into the lane, responded when roused, dug in gamely outside in the final furlong and prevailed. TRUE DAKOTAN raced four wide into the first turn, moved over to the inside to track the leaders, rallied on the rail entering the stretch, dueled with the winner past midstretch and dug in gamely to the end. MENELAO raced five wide into the first turn, settled off the pace, made a three wide run on the far turn, rallied and earned the show spot. SHOT TIME raced six wide entering the first turn, then settled off the pace inside, chased on the far turn and had no rally. SEA KETCH raced off the pace, saved ground on the far turn and flattened out in the stretch. MAYBE IT'S TIME was bumped at the start, vied two wide for the lead, dueled with SWEET DREAMS BABE on the backside and faded.
