Chart notes
BREEZE BURNER was sent to the lead to set the pace on the inside, then was challenged on the turn by MOON MEISTER turned back that bid and shook clear to prove best under a drive. MOON MEISTER stalked the early pace and made a three wide bid on the turn but flattened out while being clearly second best. BOYS OF QUEENS was reserved early while two wide, came three wide into the drive while advancing, angled out leaving the furlong marker but finished evenly while besting the rest. MAIN COOL CAT was reserved early while four wide, then came six wide into the drive and passed the tiring rivals. HEART OF A WARRIOR was inside into the first turn, then shifted out to be four wide down the backstretch and weakened in the drive. SMIRK was allowed to settle on the inside and tired.
