Chart notes
BANNER MAN broke sharply then gave chase outside, rounded the turn in the three path and dug in from the top of the stretch to reach the front later yards. NAUTICAL WARRIOR chased the early pace inside, entered the turn at the rail, angled five wide approaching the top of the stretch and was steadily handled to take second the final yards. STRONG SAFETY chased inside, raced at the rail on the turn, took the lead leaving the eighth pole but was caught flattening stride late. EASTBOUND N DOWN pressured the pace and contested the turn at a close disadvantage two deep, then flattened inside the eighth pole. HE'S ON THE LINE set a pressured pace and contested the edge nearest the rail on the turn, but was caught leaving the eighth pole and weakened.
