Chart notes
NEWPORT AGENT pressed the pace, moved off the rail at the top of the stretch, rallied gamely and was up in the nick of time. ARAFAT took an early lead, set a reserved pace, extended his advantage in the stretch but was caught on the wire. FUNICULI raced in mid pack, came two and three-wide through the turn, split foes upper stretch and rallied gamely. BENLION raced from off the pace, closed angling from the rail to three-wide on the turn, rallied outside but evened out in deep stretch. RACING IN THE RAIN bumped with CHANCEL leaving the gate, settled in mid pack, was hustled three and four-wide on the turn then chased through the stretch. BLUE MAX settled off the pace, saved ground on the turn, moved outside for the stretch drive, rallied, but never reached contention. RED MAVRIK was steadied at the outset and settled in mid pack, came two to four-wide through the turn, was bumped by FUNICULI mid stretch and evened out. CHANCEL was bumped at the start and then pulling hard on the backstretch, came two-wide through the turn but flattened out in the stretch. HIATUS pressed the pace, chased hard late turn but flattened out in the stretch. BREACH OF TRUST raced two-wide from off the pace and lacked a closing response. PER RULING FROM THE ONTARIO RACING COMMISSION, ARAFAT WAS DISQUALIFIED FOR POSITIVE TEST.
