Chart notes
SPECIAL RESERVE pressed the pace two wide, vied turning for home as JUST MIGHT bid, led entering the lane before driving clear in upper stretch, then held from ALOHA WEST's late charge on the wire. ALOHA WEST settled off of the pace, took the three path around the turn, shifted four wide entering the lane, rallied with a strong and determined kick in the final furlong, but just missed. MUCHO stalked along the inside, shifted off of the rail to pass the tiring early pace setter entering the lane, but only managed to chase the outer leader, proved no match for that foe inside the final furlong, and lost place a sixteenth from home. ENDORSED trailed, came into the lane in the four path, and produced a late gain to reach a minor placing on the wire. SIR ALFRED JAMES tracked the pace from the two path around the turn, and failed to menace. JUST MIGHT chased three wide, bid entering the lane, but was repelled in upper stretch, and weakened through the final furlong. QUICK TEMPO rushed to set the pace along the inside, but was headed turning for home, and weakened through the lane.
