Chart notes
TRAGICALLY QUEWICK closed into the turn, stalked the leader from the rail and two-wide on the turn, angled out at the top of the stretch, rallied, and blew to the lead mid stretch. JACKIE'S PRIDE forced the pace, bid at the top of the stretch, shook clear a furlong out but was passed mid stretch but held place. SHAN'S TIGER settled off the pace, was hustled five-wide on the turn then rallied late outside. NIAGARA SKYLINE hopped leaving the gate, stalked the pace, chased five then four-wide on the turn and finished under a determined drive. STRIBLING showed early speed, set a pressured pace, was headed a furlong out and leveled off. SASKATCHEWAN, pinched back at the start, settled at the rear, was steadied at the turn, closed four-wide then chased gamely through the stretch. RAVEN ECHO hit the gate but gained striking range, stalked the pace on the turn, chased three-wide into the stretch but evened out in the late stages. RED MERCURY raced in mid pack, was steadied early turn, chased two and three-wide on the turn, but lacked a closing response. TIME FOR THE KING, off slowly, was hustled to contention, backed away on the turn, was eased in the stretch, crossed the wire and walked off.
