Chart notes
SPECIAL FORCES ducked out leaving the gate and settled at the rear of the pack, came two to four-wide through the far turn, was involved in bumping in the final furlong, drove clear and held under light handling. SIR WINSTON raced in mid pack, closed on the backstretch, stalked on the turn, made contact with rivals in the final furlong then chased to the wire. HALO AGAIN pressed the pace, stalked on the backstretch, dueled on the far turn, shook clear upper stretch, bumped with SIR WINSTON in the final furlong and gave way. MIGHTY HEART raced in mid pack, closed on the backstretch, stalked on the turn, was taken back from between foes upper stretch then rallied late. TAP IT TO WIN set a reserved pace, dueled on the far turn, was headed at the top of the stretch and gave way. CLAIMS OF FOUL WERE LODGED BY THE JOCKEYS OF SIR WINSTON AND HALO AGAIN AGAINST SPECIAL FORCES FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE FINAL FURLONG. AS WELL, THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE BUMPING IN THE STRETCH INVOLVING THE THREE AFORENAMED HORSES WHICH RESULTED IN THE CLAIMS BEING DISALLOWED.
