Chart notes
UNION GAP was slow into stride at the start, raced in the back in the opening quarter hustled up along the rail around the turn, took closer order then tipped three wide in the final furlong and swept by late. CAPTURED BY FATE dueled along the outside of rivals out of the gate, battled on with BERHANU around into the lane, got clear approaching the sixteenth pole then got denied when the winner rallied by. BERHANU vied inside of rivals out of the gate then bumped with rivals mid-way through the backstretch, continued to battle inside of CAPTURED BY FATE into the lane then failed to keep pace in the final sixteenth. STRONG ENDING vied between rivals in opening stages, got bumped near the half mile marker and steadied, lost momentum and failed to re-gain. CATCHING FISH raced off the early pace, went six wide into the lane and lacked a needed rally. PERSONAL MEADOW dueled in the opening quarter then steadily faded.
