TRIPLE SCOUT came away last, advanced to track the leading pair inside horses down the backstretch, was held up at the rear of the compact main group two wide on the turn as APOLLO U ANYWHERE began to fade to his inside, dripped to the inside and was driven in upper stretch, loomed inside of FIVE QUEENS near the three sixteenth, altered out three wide near the furlong mark, carried BOWS N LACE out, rallied and missed. FIRST SQUADRON pressed the pace outside of APOLLO U ANYWHERE, led near the seven sixteenths, cleared in the two to three path from there, carried a diminishing lead into upper stretch, dug in between horses through midstretch, was finally headed at the sixteenth and flattened late. BOWS N LACE was bumped by FIVE QUEENS in the opening strides, settled at the rear, trailed in the two to three path on the turn, swung five wide into the lane for the drive, began to rally, was carried out past the furlong mark by TRIPLE SCOUT, and continued to improve mildly late. WINNING QUALITY was anxious in the gate, tracked the leading pair three wide down the back straight, continued to track in range three wide on the turn, was driven four wide into the lane and came up empty. APOLLO U ANYWHERE was sent for speed, set a pressured pace, was headed by FIRST SQUADRON at the seven sixteenths, flattened inside through the rest of the turn and had no more for the drive.
