THE MEAN QUEEN (IRE) tracked the pacesetter AMSCHEL in second, was ridden to the lead on the final turn, dueled in the stretch with SNAP DECISION, always holding the latter a half length back. SNAP DECISION tracked in third, rallied, dueled in the stretch, unable to overtake the winner. AMSCHEL (GB) jumped well, then outrun in the final stage. CHOSEN MATE (IRE) traveled in fourth, had no finishing rally, outrun going to final hurdle.
