Chart notes
MANOR HOUSE angled off the inside and settled in behind the pacesetter through the backstretch, launched a bid for FINANCIAL SYSTEM near the quarter pole, remained game in pursuit through the lane and surged to the lead in final strides. FINANCIAL SYSTEM cleared and crossed over to the inside after the start and set the pace, held firm into the upper stretch, stayed on with good response but could not hold off the late surge from the winner. FUEGO CALIENTE tracked the pace through the backstretch, launched an inside bid around the far turn, sustained a steady bid through the lane and secured show. HARD LIGHTING raced in the last flight, was ridden along four wide into the lane and passed tiring rivals. IRISH HONOR raced in the back, hustled up along the outside into the lane and failed to move into contention. ANOTHER DUKE bumped with NIXON JOY at the start, raced off the pace, was ridden along two wide around the turn, failed to move on then lost the whip past the eighth pole. NIXON JOY (ARG) bumped with ANOTHER DUKE at the start, settled through early stages then failed to move on when called upon in the far turn. KING SLEW (ARG) raced off the clear top trio leaving the backstretch then steadily retreated around the far turn.
