NIGHT THINGS broke inward and hit the gate, bumped TWO WORLDS as he game out of the gate and was also bumped by TWO COOKIE RULE, settled at the rear, trailed through the clubhouse turn and the backstretch, was pushed along in the five path on the far turn, swung six wide into upper stretch for the drive, rallied, led past the furlong marker and drove clear. TWO COOKIE RULE broke inward and bumped NIGHT THINGS in the opening strides, settled in second last, bid in the six path on the far turn, was driven five wide from upper stretch, stayed on with interest, and kept on well enough for place though proving no match for the winner. TWO WORLDS was bumped by NIGHT THINGS in the opening strides, tracked between horses through the clubhouse turn, continued to track the pacesetter down the back straight, engaged outside of YALIKEANYTHING into the far turn, loomed outside of him past the three eighths and three wide into upper stretch, momentarily took the lead from that foe past the furlong mark, but was no match for NIGHT THINGS, and lost the place late. YALIKEANYTHING cleared to the lead, was engaged by TWO WORLDS to his outside into the far turn, retained a narrow lead in the three path around that bend, was driven in upper stretch to maintain a short lead, was headed past the furlong mark by TWO WORLDS and flattened. DICK THE BRUISER chased three wide through the clubhouse turn, tracked the leading pair two wide down the backstretch while racing keenly, chased in the five path on the far turn, offered a bid three deep near the five sixteenths, but came up empty four wide in the lane. THROWN FOR A LOUPE raced very keenly while tracking inside through the clubhouse turn and backstretch, chased in the two path around the far turn, was driven two wide in upper stretch and came up empty.
