HEY SEQUOIA set a pressured pace, responded when challenged by PERFECT COME BACK after going a half, vied with that rival for the next mile and half and edged away in the closing yards. PERFECT COME BACK chased the winner while racing three-wide, moved up to engage after going a half, vied and just could not get by that foe through a prolonged drive. WINGS OF THE WIND lacked early speed, raced off the rail through the final turn and lacked the needed late response. POPPY'S C NOTE was forwardly placed throughout, raced inside through the final turn and failed to gain late. DYF lagged early, raced three-wide through the final turn and did not reach contention. PULPITS POWER lacked early foot, moved up to offer a bid nearing the mile marker and weakened soon after.
