Chart notes
ALLIE'S PAL showed speed leaving the gate and set the pace from a ground saving position, had a clear lead leaving the turn and won in a drive. PHANTOM INDIAN chased the winner from the three path, was outrun leaving the turn but held for second over an oncoming rival. AUSTRIAN NAVY had no speed in the early stages, improved position from four deep on the turn and closed willingly in the stretch to challenge for the place. CAMEO SHORES chased the pace while three wide between foes on the turn and made a mild late gain in the stretch. SMILING SPIRIT stalked the early pace while saving ground and did not mount a late kick in the stretch. MICKEY DOBBS tracked the early pace from a four wide position and gave way in the stretch run.
