Chart notes
DENALI D'ORO took the lead leaving the chute and set a pressured pace, raced near the rail on the turn, was kept alert through the upper stretch then taken in hand the final sixteenth. CHEROKEE CASTLE engaged in close chase inside, raced at the rail on the turn then dueled through the stretch for second. THUNDER PUNCH broke sharply and pressured the pace, rounded the turn about the three path then outfinished in the stretch duel for second. SLEWING chased, rounded the turn about the four path and ran evenly through the lane. WOODSONG'S CASTLE gave chase toward the inside, raced at the rail on the turn, eased out in the upper stretch and finished evenly. TAPIT CAT hesitated a full length at the break and dropped well back from early contention, gave chase leaving the three eighths pole, rounded the turn about the six path and passed a rival. CARNIVAL LUCKY chased outside then saved some ground on the turn. COOK THE BOOKS chased through the backstretch then flattened in the five path of the turn.
