Chart notes
MESSIER broke inward at the start, chased the pacesetter off the rail, drew alongside and took over quickly past the three-eighths pole, kicked clear from inside rival around the bend, then drew off easily while in hand. DON'T SWEAR DAVE stalked from inside, chased two to three wide into the stretch and bested the rest. BLACKADDER stalked the pacesetter outside a rival, went three to four wide into the stretch and got outkicked by DON'T SWEAR DAVE for second. COVER ME UP stumbled leaving the gate, took the turn four wide and failed to menace. GODSEND broke in a bit at the start, sped clear to taken control showed the way along the inside to the turn, overtaken by MESSIER past the three-eighths pole and weakened down the lane. YOGI BOY saved ground through the turn and was no factor.
