Chart notes
MIKE OPERATOR was away well and set all of the pace while rating nicely, saved ground on the second turn, extended the lead leaving the turn and kicked clear in the final sixteenth. LORD WIMBORNE (IRE) settled near the rear of the field, was three wide on the second turn, closed well in the stretch and could not reel in the winner but bested the rest. CHOSEN MOON was forwardly placed through the second turn while four wide and was outfinished in the stretch run. STONE GROOVE made a middle move to track the winner through the second turn, was turned away by MIKE OPERATOR entering the lane and weakened in the late going. CURRY NATION had no early speed, saved ground on the second turn and was not a threat. FIRE DIAMONDS settled in the second flight, saved ground from the two path on the second turn and was not a factor.
